I just finished reading this ebook and was amazed with these 3 ways to pray. I was caught up in a quick and easy prayer w/ not much results. I recommend this book because of the directness, simplicity and concise information. This presentation gets you started without belaboring the subject. If you want to pray this book gently guides the reader to just begin.
The author presents three ways that can learn to Pray that will foster our relationship with God. I especially marvel at the ways to strengthen my Faith. I recommend this book.
Outline of praying was good and thought provoking. I would have liked a few 'exercises' to utilize the suggestions. But the author made it clear that prayer should be a 'relationship' not viewed as a series of steps. So obviously I have more to learn.
A wonderful short introduction on getting to know God and how we can draw closer to Him through scripture, meditation and prayer. The reason why I gave it a three star out of five was because it was too short and their were a few biblical terms that I had to research, on my own, (hint, this book doesn't give you the answers right away) to understand. I do however highly recommend this book for those who are devout and already practicing the faith. Other than that, the book was okay.
An excellent addition. Great for someone interested or trying to give a fairly effective way to start genuine dialogue with the Lord.
THE book addressed key points. Talk, be open with God. Listen listen and listen , then Act. In talking and openness comes is where the revelation of our own soul begins..
I particularly enjoyed the short straight to the point inclusion of St Ignatius in examinations of the soul; and using the Lectio Divina also as a springboard into sweet union and dialogue with God.
Great book.
This is five stars because it speaks simply to your spirit. 3 Methods of Prayer That Will Change Your Life, does change your life. How can your life not change when you are growing in your relationship with God.? This book does that, it opens your mind and spirit to a real relationship with God.
An awesome book, written in easily understood language. The book has an approach that is really helpful to have a lot more confidence and a knowing that our prayers can be very effective and help us to grow spiritually. Its not the 'quantity' of our prayer(s)...but the 'quality' of our prayer(s)...that make all the difference!!!
